Phonics and Grammar Fun
Obiettivi formativi:
Grade 3 offre ai ragazzi l’opportunità di consolidare le competenze acquisite e strutturare gli apprendimenti per acquisire dimestichezza nella costruzione autonoma di frasi, domande e risposte sia in forma scritta che orale con l’utilizzo di un vocabolario ricercato, anche grazie all’uso del Dizionario.
Gli alunni interagiranno in lingua con l’insegnante e miglioreranno le loro capacità in merito alla comprensione di comandi ed istruzioni in lingua per lo svolgimento di compiti relativi alle tre competenze richieste: Listening Comprehension- Reading and Writing- Speaking.
Utilizzo dei verbi nei tempi presente e present continuous nelle forme: affermativo, interrogativo e negativo.
I verbi: Can per richieste e abilità, Have got. Il verbo like+ing.
Formulano domande di vario genere utilizzando tutte le “WH Question words” e rispondono con le “short answers”.
Impareranno a parlare di se stessi in modo disinvoltosemplice e corretto.
Conoscenza e corretta applicazione delle seguenti regole e strutture grammaticali:
Singolari e plurali, regolari ed irregolari, “countable e uncountable nouns” articoli det. e indet.
Aggettivi e possessivi, pronomi personali, dimostrativi e possessivi, genitivo sassone, Preposizioni di luogo.
There is, there are nelle forme affermativa, interrogativa e negativa.

Student: Grammar 1 Pupil’s Book, Project Book, Dictionary
Class: Momo Box bench, tables, chairs, mat, Green Readers, Tricky Word Flowers, Alternative Spelling Poster, Pocket Chart, Alphabet poster, Starters Flashcards, Grammar 1 Workbook 1-6
Composition:
Complete a sentence identifying the missing part of speech (determiners subject, verb or adjective)
Compose sentences with extra information on Subject – Verb – Object
Punctuate sentences using a capital letter , a comma, a full stop and the exclamation mark
Sequence pictures or sentences to form a short narrative
Re-read what they have written to check that writing makes sense
Join sentences or clauses using ‘and”, “because”, “but”, “so”.
Use past, present and future tense throughout writing
Define the parts of speech (nouns, pronouns, preposition of place, adj, verbs, , determ)
Confident understanding of the WH words
Use further regular words and simple exception words from the Starters Level in your writing
Comprehension:
Answering and asking questions about what has been read
Discuss the significance of the title and content.
Read and understand age and ability-appropriate books (level Green)
Develop pleasure in reading, motivation to read, use “Simple Book Review
Use of the Dictionary to check the meaning of new vocabulary
Read and Retell less simple stories (read works) using First – then – finally
Understand instructions and follow the activities
Understand further regular words and simple exception words from the Starters Level
Vocabulary and language learning:
Momo Box: Spontaneous use of new vocabulary in a correct context
Class Time: Use the language to express needs and opinions and to interact with the teacher
Circle Time: Use the language to talk about personal experience, about a book or a specific topic
Questions and answers: Practice giving short answer about a picture or yourself and asking questions. Use further words from the Starters Level in your speaking
Word reading:
Revise the alternative vowel sounds and learn: silent e and the consonants doubling
Continue to apply phonic knowledge and skills until decode automatically
Learn additional alternative spelling patterns
Read another 24 tricky words colour orange and brown (from the word flower) using phonics to identify regular part
Read aloud accurately books with fluency and confidence (level Green)
Decode further regular words and simple exception words from the Starters Level
Transcription:
Naming the letters of the alphabet in alternative spelling and for the use of the Dictionary
Spell 24 tricky words, including spelling patterns for tricky word families
Write stories dictated by the teacher using the correct punctuation
Use Capital Letters for names of people, places and days of the week and punctuation.
Write further regular words and simple exception words from the Starters Level
